"Why I Started Turang: A Letter From The Founder"
Since childhood, I’ve always been that guy — the patriot in the group. You know, the one who’d randomly bring up the country in every conversation, even during a group lunch. While other kids were collecting Hot Wheels, I was busy collecting ideas on how to do something for India.
The idea of Turang didn’t just fall from the sky one day. It grew slowly, from observations — and some frustrations. I used to look at people in Western and European countries and admire how deeply patriotic they were — not just in speeches or holidays, but in everyday life. You could see it in their clothes, in their city branding, in the way they carried themselves.
But here in India? Forget patriotic clothing — people are proudly wearing T-shirts with USA, Japan, London, NASA, California, Tokyo, and even random American universities they’ve never been to. ₹1000+ for a tee with another country’s flag, but no love for their own.
Now, don’t get me wrong — I don’t hate these countries. In fact, I respect them. There's a lot to learn from their systems: discipline, civic sense, national pride. But here’s the thing — they became global icons because their people supported them first, not just once a year, but every single day. That daily pride became culture, then identity, then a brand the world recognized.
That’s when the seed of Turang was planted.
Turang isn’t just another clothing brand trying to sell cool designs and make profit. It’s for the silent patriots — the ones who don’t litter even when no one’s watching, who stop at red lights even when the road is empty, who show love for India not by shouting slogans, but by living right.
Turang is how you wear your beliefs.
When I started wearing Turang T-shirts on my daily runs and errands, something shifted. It wasn’t just about the look — it felt like a little badge of responsibility. My posture improved, my confidence got a boost, and funnily enough, people around started treating me with a bit more respect. Maybe because when you carry your nation on your chest, people sense that energy.
Our goal with Turang is simple — Lead the change. Build a strong community. Uplift the nation. And yes, grow the movement globally — to the point where someone in New York proudly wears a Bharat tee, or someone in Tokyo reps Mumbai on their hoodie.
Call it crazy, call it delusional — but hey, all big dreams sound that way until they work out.
So, yes — the start is small. But the vision? It’s massive.
If you resonate with this, join us. Wear your values. Lead the change. Be Turang.
